“We must get beyond passions, like a great work of art. In such miraculous harmony.”
Fellini

La Dolce Vita, Fellini’s masterpiece from 1960, is one of my all-time favorite films. It is set in Rome, and tells the story of Marcello Rubini - a tabloid journalist who’s trying to find love and happiness in his life among the city’s elite.

In one particularly iconic scene, Sylvia (portrayed by the stunning Anita Ekberg), finds a tiny cat and decides to keep it. Later, Sylvia spots the spectacular Trevi fountain, and jumps in it, dressed in a nightgown.

I found inspiration in the shapes and movements of this beautiful scene. The cat-like eyeliner on Anita and the passion, freedom, mystery and femininity she exuded are translated into the cat-eye models of this collection.

The vintage-chic frame shapes in the Dolce Vita collection are designed and hand painted with bright, joyus colors. Think Old Hollywood Glamour meets 80's synth-pop. This intriguing fusion of two almost opposite styles creates outstandingly unique fashion eyewear.
