Hemingway is a constant inspiration, laying the groundwork for a painting I created for a 2014 retrospective based on his short story The Snows of Kilimanjaro and photos of him posing next to a leopard on a hunting trip. That piece explored the clash between man and nature, intellect and instinct.
The Hemingway Collection brings these ideas together. Wild, natural tones—rich greens, deep yellows, and Tortoise Shell patterns—meet structured frame shapes and a matte finish.
