The history of the panto glasses is believed to have started in 1940’s Britain. During these years, the National Health Service distributed them to doctors and nurses. The style quickly caught on, and became extremely fashionable by the 60’s.

The word “panto” is abbreviated from the greek word pantoscopic, meaning "showing a wide-angled view". Properly, this model is designed to enable a broad field of vision.

Our model is assembled with hinges by German supplier OBE and available in 28 meticulously designed and hand-painted colors. You can adjust the lenses to your need - Progressive or sun. If you wish to personalize your frame, Mix & Match the temples (sides) and rim (front) with a desired design from any of our collections. In addition we will gladly add your name or a dedication by painting it inside one of the temples.
